Filtration Performance- Super High Grade Filter

Filtration Performance- Standard Grade Filter

Free residual chlorine Chlorine is the most commonly used disinfectant. Affects the taste of water.
Turbidity Is a measure of the cloudiness of water, an indication of water quality and filtration effectiveness. Particles in water that may not be visible.
Trihalomethanes General term for four chemical compounds (chloroform, bromodichloromethane, dibromochloromethane, bromoform) generated by the reaction of organic substances in water to chlorine used in water filtration treatments. Suspected of being carcinogenic.
Chloroform One of the trihalomethanes. Suspected of being carcinogenic.
Bromodichloromethane One of the trihalomethanes. Suspected of being carcinogenic.
Dibromochloromethane One of the trihalomethanes. Suspected of being carcinogenic.
Bromoform One of the trihalomethanes. Suspected of being carcinogenic.
Soluble Lead Perceived as a problem because there's a possibility of causing intellectual damage to infants and babies if it accumulates in their mothers.
CAT Organic chemicals, herbicides, pesticides used in a number of crops (agricultural or gardens) as well as non-crop areas. It is suspected of disrupting the endocrine (hormone) system.
2-MIB A mould. It affects the taste of water.
Tetrachloroethylene Is widely used in drycleaning and as a solvent for degreasing metals in automotive, metal, light industries. It is suspected to harm the liver and kidney and to be a carcinogen.
Trichloroethylene Is a chemical compound used as an industrial solvent for degreasing metals. It is suspected to harm the liver and kidney and to be a carcinogen.
1,1,1-trichloroethane Is widely used as a cleaning solvent in electrical, electronics industry, as a solvent for adhesives, ink, paints, coatings, textile dyes, and as a coolant and lubricant. It is suspected to harm the liver and kidney and to be a carcinogen.
Iron (fine particles) Most of this substances comes from water piping (iron pipes). It can lead to rusty water which looks and tastes bad.
Aluminium This substance is used as a flocculant of the aluminium family in the treatment of water.

The Importance of Water

The human body is made up of approximately 70% water. This water is used by our body for various purposes and must be replaced on a regular basis. Water is essential for survival... An average person may survive 60 days without food, but will die within 2 – 3 days without water.

The old saying tells us “You are what you eat”. Perhaps, it should also say “You are what you drink”. Good quality drinking water enhances our health and decreases chances of diseases and illnesses in the long term. Consuming unpurified water places extra strain on the organs in your body, as it forces them to act as a “purifier” to remove the unwanted and potentially harmful contaminants that are present in the water. Long term exposure to these unwanted contaminants, even in small doses, can result in health issues and severe illnesses.

There are many potential unwanted substances and contaminants that can infiltrate your drinking water between its source and your home.

Chlorine is the most commonly used disinfectant in our everyday drinking water. It is added to drinking water to kill harmful bacteria, viruses and other micro-organisms.Whilst the benefits of chlorine are clear, there are also a number of unwanted side effects of chlorinated water.

Apart from altering the tase and smell of water, chlorine can also react with materials dissolved in water, such as natural organic matters, to produce undesirable chemicals/organic compounds, called \"disinfection by-products\". The most commonly known group of these disinfection by-products are called Trihalomethanes (THM), which are believed to be carcinogenic or cancer causing.

According to the World Health Organisation\'s (WHO) regional office for Europe , at present, risk from contaminated water supplies outweighs the risk to health from chlorine. However, there is still a risk to your health from long term exposure/consumption of chlorinated water. Thus, removing chlorine from our drinking water with Cleansui Water Purifiers will be beneficial to our overall health and wellness.

Treated water is also temporarily stored in clear water tanks in the waterworks before it is sent into the distribution system, or stored in large covered service reservoirs sited on high ground, as reserves. The distribution system is made up of a large network of mains of various sizes and types. Materials used for these pipes are namely ductile iron, cement, steel, copper, stainless steel and unplasticised PVC pipes. During this storage and distribution stage, any number of unwanted substances can contaminate your drinking water. Such contaminants can include bacteria, lead, mould, iron, pesticides and algae.

Wear and tear on your household pipes, plus dirt/rust accumulated at your tap further enhances the need for a point-of-use water purification system like Cleansui.

With Cleansui, you can ensure that undesired substances in your drinking water are removed, and that healthy minerals in the water are retained, leaving you with a glass of clean and tasty water- every time.

  • Boiling water removes oxygen which is essential for the human body. Cleansui\'s water filters only remove harmful substances, retaining oxygen and healthy minerals.
  • Boiling only kills some bacteria and the remains of these germs can become a breeding ground for other germs that already exist in the human body.
  • Boiled water only removes live disease germs, but leaves bacterial soil for the growth of other bacteria. Cleansui filters remove ALL bacteria.
  • Boiling eliminates only some of the chlorine present in water, whilst Cleansui filters remove all traces.
  • Boiling water requires consumption of energy (eg. electricity or gas). Cleansui\'s filtration process does not require any energy consumption.

  • Current regulations for bottled water offer little assurance on water quality or source of water.
  • According to a four-year study by the Natural Resources Defence Council in the USA , bottled water is not necessarily cleaner or safer than most tap water.
  • The study included testing of more than 1,000 bottles sold under 103 brands.About 22% of the tested contained contaminants.
  • Some of these contaminants, if consumed over a long period of time, could be carcinogenic or cause other health problems.
  • The environmental impact of bottled water production is monumental.
  • Cleansui is more convenient, provides higher water quality and costs a fraction of what bottled water costs.

Our Technology

Cleansui is the trusted brand of water purifiers in Japan, and is now available in Australia and New Zealand. The remarkable purification system removed contaminants but leaves healthy minerals intact.

Cleansui's original proprietary filtration system ensures high level performance. The unique and advanced filtration system uses a combination of filtering net, non-woven fabric, ceramics, activated carbon with hollow fibre membrane filters.

1. Hollow fibre membrane: The core competency of Cleansui- the hollow fibre membrane filter- is made of ultra-fine polyethylene. The sidewalls can remove minute particles (as small as 0.1 micrometer) from tap water- including bacteria, algae, fungi, micro-organisms, cysts, cryptosporidium, and metal particals such as rust, lead etc.

Advanced Technology

The microporous hollow fibre membrane is a sophisticated filter developed by Mitsubishi Rayon's macromolecular chemical technology. Each hollow fibre membrane has a macaroni-shaped cross section and has millions of pores on the sidewall. It can remove particles as small as 0.1 micrometer from tap water.

In addition to the hollow fibre membrane, water is filtered through non-woven fabric, ceramics, and anti-bacterial activated carbon filters in the purification process.

2. Ceramic: The special ceramic filter removes soluble lead, apart from other contaminants. (Insoluble lead is removed by the hollow fibre membrane filter).

3. Anti-bacterial activated carbon: The activated carbon filter reduces unpleasant odors, chlorine and mould (2-MIB) from your drinking water. It also successfully removes pesticides, herbicides, CAT, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) such as total trihalomethanes (chloroform, bromodichloromethane, dibromochloromethane, bromoform), tetrachloroethylene, trichloroethylene, 1,1,1-trichloroethane, etc.
